What to expect in Semester 1

Our First Year (Stage 1) students will have approximately 80% of their classes in the College. For each BA Programme these classes will be held over two days.

Students on the BA in Applied Social Studies (Professional Social Care) and the BA (Honours) in Social, Political and Community programmes will be in College on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Students on the BA in Arts and Humanities, the BA (Honours) in Arts and Humanities and the BA (Honours) in English and History will be in College on Wednesdays and Thursdays. These arrangements will allow for the potential reduced availability of public transport and simplify arrangements for students who may opt to commute from home.

We are hoping that we will be resuming normal in-College delivery of classes in Semester 2, however, this will be subject to ongoing Covid 19 Healthcare Directives.

Please remember that the normal working of Carlow College, St. Patrick’s College remains subject to the State’s Covid 19 or Coronavirus Healthcare Directives and to the regulations and guidelines of the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
