At Carlow College, the Chaplaincy service
is provided for students by management. It is the presenting vehicle
for the College's care of students as individuals. Chaplaincy is
the agency that offers students the possibility of exploring spirituality
in the religious sense of that term. It provides for the students
basic religious services according to their needs and does this
without prejudice to those students who do not wish to avail of
the service.
Campus Ministry opens up for student's extra curricular Christian
and humanitarian areas of interest and involvement and helps form
them in attitudes and behaviour, which will make them more aware
of local and global issues of justice and peace. The Chaplin is
a member of the Student Affairs Team (SAT).
The choir meets weekly on Tuesdays in the Prayer Room from 1.30 – 2.30 p.m. under the direction of Mary Almond - O’Brien
New members welcome
The St. Patrick’s Outreach Group meets on Tuesdays at 1.00 p.m. It creates awareness in the college justice issues and organises fundraising for local charities.
The Chaplain, Fr Conn, is available to students at the Chaplaincy
office (Ex. 245) during chaplaincy hours or at (Ex 208) outside
of those hours.
