Creative Writing
Classes take the form of a 2-hour writing-workshop each week in which students receive practical guidance and feedback on their work. The programme includes lectures on Irish writers from Swift to Joyce and beyond, and also feature readings and talks by some of Ireland’s foremost contemporary authors and publishers.
Drama & Theatre Studies
This course provides students with a comprehensive grounding in the theory, history and practice of theatre. Weekly workshops focus on the fundamental elements of the art: acting, set-design, lighting, directing, and writing for theatre. Classes are supplemented by seminars and lecturers which trace the development of drama and theatre in European history and in modern Ireland.

It focuses on children’s cognitive, social and emotional development from infancy to adolescence. No previous knowledge of child psychology is assumed. This course will appeal to a range of students who have an interest in deepening their understanding of children and childhood.
