To a
Spring Lecture series marking
10 years
of Social Studies at Carlow College.
The speakers will offer insights on how Ireland responds to the needs of its more vulnerable citizens.
Lecture 1. Tuesday 27th Februrary 1.30 – 3.00 p.m.
Speaker: Chinedu Onyejelem, Editor of Metro Eireann.
Title: 'Ireland, Immigration and Multiculturalism'.
Lecture 2: Tuesday 6th March 1.30 – 3.00 pm
Speaker: Ms. Michelle Clarke, Chief Inspector, Irish Social Services Inspectorate.
Title: 'Behind closed doors ------- how can society support good quality residential care?'
Lecture 3: Tuesday 13th March 1.30 – 3.00pm
Speaker: Fr. Peter Mc Verry, SJ
Title: ‘The Celtic Tiger, and the cubs she left behind?’
