Dr David Ralph is Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology, Trinity College Dublin. As part of an inter-institutional co-operation agreement with Trinity College Dublin he lectures in Sociology in Carlow College. He holds his B.A. degree from NUI-Galway, his M.A. from University College London and his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh. He is the author of Work, family and commuting in Europe; The lives of Euro-commuters published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2015. He is joint author of Family rhythms: The changing textures of Irish family life which is forthcoming from Manchester University Press.
